Description: AVR-USB-JTAG has all the power of the original AVR-JTAG plus the flexibility of a USB interface. This is a low-priced equivalent of the much more expensive JTAGICE, with a handy and safe optically isolated USB interface. Use it to debug and emulate many of the Atmel processors!

Please note:
Does NOT power the target device
Please note that AVR-USB-JTAG needs power from the target, which means that PIN.4 and PIN.7 of the JTAG connector should be wired to the target board VCC! This is a requirement due to the optoisolation circuit.
ATMEL does not support this product (and the original Atmel JTAG ICE mkI) in AVR Studio 5 and ATMEL Studio 6 and ATMEL Studio 7.
