Product description
Build a sound generator that simulates the sound of a moving steam locomotive via a rotary potentiometer. The sound of the pistons pushing the locomotive forward is simulated manually by turning the speed potentiometer clockwise and anti-clockwise. The sound of a steam locomotive whistle is simulated by pressing a button. Equipped with volume control for the pistons.
This steam locomotive sound is created by waveform generators and should not be confused with that of a sound decoder, which plays an authentic sampled sound of classic steam locomotives. Nevertheless, the kit can be used for railway modelling, your own theatre set, or just for the pleasure of having done it yourself.
Supplied as a kit with building instructions.
For sound examples see External link.
