Product description
ST's VL53L4CD Laser Distance Sensor Mounted on Breakout Board
The VL53L4CD offers fast (up to 100 Hz) and accurate distance measurements from 1 mm to 1.2 meters. It uses time-of-flight (ToF) technology with invisible, eye-safe laser pulses to measure absolute distances regardless of ambient lighting conditions and target characteristics such as color, shape, or surface texture (although these factors can affect the maximum range). Libraries are available for Arduino, MicroPython, and CircuitPython.
Communication is via I²C. The board includes a 2.8 V linear voltage regulator and level shifters, allowing it to operate with a supply voltage from 2.6 V to 5.5 V. Logic level is compatible with 3.3 V or 5 V systems. The 2.54 mm (0.1") pin spacing makes it breadboard-friendly. Pin header pins sold separately.
