Binary Watch SMD 0603 - Soldering kit

Impress your friends with this geeky watch! The Binary-Watch displays hours, minutes, day, and month in binary format. This is a DIY kit designed to practice SMD hand soldering - a perfect way to learn how to solder various types of SMD components.

The kit includes a PCB, wristband, quartz crystal, PIC16 microcontroller with preloaded software, 0603 components, and a CR2032 PCB-mounted battery holder (battery not included).

Note that soldering 0603 components by hand is a real challenge. If you succeed, you'll have a fun and clever wristwatch that tells time in binary. Next step? Get fast at binary mental math!

For best results when soldering SMD, the following tools are recommended:

• A soldering iron with a fine tip
• Thin solder wire (ideally 0.6 mm or thinner)
• Flux
• Precision tweezers
• Magnifying lamp with good lighting
• And most importantly – patience
