DRV8871 is a nifty little motor driver with built-in current limiting that is programmed with just one external resistor. The circuit can drive any regular brushed DC-motor with voltages from 6.5 to 45V with a maximum current of 3.6A. Two inputs run the motor in forward or reverse. If both inputs are low, the H-bridge is disabled and the motor coasts. If both inputs are high the motor is breaked. Speed can be controlled using pulse-width modulation (PWM).
