Product description
TermoPasty Flux Gel - Flux 100 ml (100cm²). Flux Gel is a flux in gel form, enabling precise application without dripping. The flux provides excellent solder wetting and is particularly suited for lead-free precision soldering, such as when working with SMD components.
Flux Gel is a high-concentration flux gel based on colophony and classified as RMA (Rosin Mildly Activated). This means it has low activity but is sufficient to ensure good solder wetting. The risk of corrosion is low. The product is used in PCB manufacturing where a balance between soldering efficiency and cleanliness is desired.
Performance in Practical Use:
During assembly and repair of surface-mounted components, Flux Gel demonstrates excellent spread and wetting. Its viscous gel form allows for precise placement even in tight areas without flowing, which is especially advantageous when working with densely packed solder joints.
Tests on mixed metal surfaces (Cu and SnPb) showed consistent solder joints with good electrical and mechanical contact. No corrosion was observed after 72 hours of aging at 85% relative humidity and 60 °C.
The product complies with ISO 9454:1134 and IPC J-STD-004 (ROM1), ensuring compatibility with industrial standards and safe use in professional settings.
Flux residues are non-corrosive after soldering, meaning cleaning is typically not required (No-Clean type). If necessary, residues can be easily removed with Isopropyl alcohol.
