Sensor for measuring the moisture level in soil, for instance a potted plant. The sensor works by passing a current from one leg of the sensor to the other. If the soil is dry, the resistance is high and if the soil is wet, the resistance drops. The on-board amplifier converts the resistance to a voltage that is presented on the analog output. There is also a digital output available that indicates dry or wet. The digital output has an adjustable threshold using the trim potentiometer.
