What is CCA?
The abbreviation stands for Copper Clad Aluminum which means that the conductor is made of copper plated aluminum wire. The aluminum core does not affect high-frequency signals, but it does affect DC transmission and low-frequency signals (e.g. audio). This is due to its slightly higher resistance. The higher resistance can be compensated for by choosing a CCA cable with a slightly larger conductor area. In the context of loudspeakers, the higher resistance results in some power loss but no hearable difference in sound quality (although this is disputed among audiophiles).
