Product description
Graphite Varnish – Graphite Coating is an electrically conductive paint for repair and reinforcement. Commonly used to repair graphite-coated circuit boards found in remote controls and calculators. Suitable for creating or reconstructing conductive tracks on printed circuit boards (limited to low-current applications). The range of applications for graphite varnish is extensive.
The graphite varnish is user-friendly and has an optimal consistency. It spreads easily and covers the surface to be repaired quickly and evenly. The viscosity of the varnish prevents it from running on vertical surfaces, while still being fluid enough to penetrate cracks and cavities. Graphite Varnish is supplied with two ampoules: 1.5 ml varnish + 1.5 ml solvent.
How to apply graphite varnish
-
Preparation: Ensure the surface is clean and dry. Clean using isopropanol.
-
Application: If the varnish is too viscous, add 2–3 drops of the supplied solvent and stir for approximately 2 minutes. Then apply the varnish with a brush or another suitable applicator to the desired areas.
-
Curing: After application, the varnish must be cured. Place the circuit board under a heat-emitting source, such as a 60–100 W incandescent bulb. Time: approximately 60–90 minutes; distance: about 10 cm for 60 W, 15 cm for 100 W. This ensures good adhesion and durability of the repair.
See video for examples of application and curing. Use only in well-ventilated areas.
