Product description
Shrink tubing tape that allows the use of shrink tubing without the need to first thread through the cable. It can be used to protect and/or repair cables whose jacket has been damaged by heat, wear, UV light or corrosion. Provides strong and waterproof protection. Also excellent for corrosion protection when sealing metal pipes or for bundling cables. Also used as insulation of rails in switchgear and power stations. The tape has glue on one side that melts when heated.
Instructions: heat a piece of the tape until it becomes soft and sticks to the cable. Wrap the tape around the area to be protected. Fix the tape end with e.g. a cable tie. Use heat gun to melt any glue and shrink the tape.
