M162 is a very capable instrument for testing passive components (resistors, capacitors and inductors). It can test both primary parameters (resistance, capacitance and inductance) and secondary (impedance, reactance, phase-angle, Q factor and ESR).
To test a component, just place it in the test terminals and all results are revealed instantly on the color display. The instrument has fully automatic ranging.
The instrument is powered via a microUSB port, which is also used for firmware updates and as a serial port for exporting test results. A battery management module can be soldered to the board for powering the instrument using a LiPo battery (sold separately).
