Module with a photointerrupter that can be used for object counting, pulse counting from an encoder disc or as an position switch. The photo interrupter consists of an IR LED and receiver that are mounted facing each other on opposite sides of the reading fork. When an object blocks the light, the output goes high. When there is no object, the output is low.
