Privacy Information Policy

In order for you to feel confident that we process your personal information in a fair manner, we describe below what we store and under what conditions it happens.

Electrokit Sweden AB processes your information in accordance with the Data Protection Regulation and applicable Swedish laws. It is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection's (IMY) that is the supervisory authority for the processing of Swedish personal data.

We protect your privacy and do not collect more information than necessary when you are a customer with us. It is important to know that we never sell or share your data to any third party. The exception is if it is done on a legal basis to e.g. authority.

Electrokit Sweden AB, 556667-9683, is the data controller for personal data that you have provided to us as a customer in accordance with this policy. Your personal data is processed by us in order to handle your order and in cases where you have requested newsletters or promotional offers.

The information below is a summary of how we process your data.

1.1 What is personal data?

Personal data is any information that can be directly or indirectly linked to a natural person.

1.2.1 What data do we store?

In order to process your order and answer questions related to your order (customer service), we store your first and last name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, IP address, any correspondence with customer service and purchase history. We also store your account information in the form of customer number, username and password. If you are an approved invoice customer, we also store your Swedish personal identity number and information such as the results of credit assessment.

Your data is stored as long as we have a legal basis to process your data, for example to fulfill the agreement between us or to comply with a legal obligation under, for example, the Accounting Act.

Privacy Information Policy

When you visit our warehouse store, video images from our surveillance cameras are stored for a period of 30 days. The purpose of camera surveillance is to prevent crime and increase security for both you as a customer and for our employees. In the event of suspected crime, surveillance material can be saved for a longer period and, upon request, shared with authorities.

1.3 Legal basis

In the process of a purchase, your personal data is processed to fulfil the agreement with you. Marketing, campaigns and similar mailings take place after a consent from you.

1.4 What data is shared and for what purpose?


1.4.1 Payment provider

When making a purchase, information is shared with our payment provider. What is stored is first name, last name, address, e-mail address and telephone number. The information is stored in order to complete the purchase and to protect the parties against fraud. The payment providers (payment services) we use are Worldline (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) and Swish.

1.4.2 Carriers

In order to deliver your goods and complete our contract, we need to share specific information with the shipping company. What is shared with the shipping company is first name, last name and address details for delivery. Email address and / or cell phone number may also be shared with the shipping company for notification. The shipping companies we work with are: Postnord, DB Schenker and DHL.

1.4.3 Newsletters

If you have chosen to subscribe to our newsletter, your first name, surname and e-mail address will be shared with our newsletter provider Get-a-newsletter. This is to keep you updated with information and offers for marketing purposes. You can unsubscribe from further newsletters at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter.

1.5 Right of access

You have the right to receive extracts of any information held about you by us. Extracts are delivered electronically in a readable format.

1.6 Right to rectification

You have the right to ask us to update incorrect information or complete information that is incomplete.

1.7 Right to be forgotten

You can ask for your data to be deleted at any time. There are few exceptions to the right to erasure, such as if information needs to be kept because we have to comply with a legal obligation (for example Accounting Act).

1.8 How we protect your personal data

We use industry standards such as SSL/TLS and one-way hash algorithms to securely store, process and communicate sensitive information such as personal data and passwords.
