Module with an LED and a phototransistor that, when a finger is placed in between, can detect heart beats. The onboard LED will give a visual indication of the measured beats. The output signal is very weak and may need additional amplification and filtering to provide usable data. The sensor should also be shielded from ambient light to reduce the amount of noise in the signal.
