Product description
Push-Pull Solenoid 5–6 VDC
When the red wire is connected to the positive terminal and the black wire to the negative terminal, the iron core is pulled into the solenoid. Due to the strong NdFeB magnet located at the rear end of the core, it remains held in the retracted position even when power is removed.
If the polarity is reversed – meaning the red wire is connected to the negative terminal and the black to the positive – an electromagnetic field is generated that pushes the core outward.
The solenoid should not be continuously energized, as this will generate heat. A pulsed current is sufficient to perform the push-pull action. It is recommended that power is applied for no longer than 5 seconds at a time.
