The Raspberry Pi 45W USB-C Power Supply is an ideal power source for USB-C powered Raspberry Pi products. It is particularly well suited for users of Raspberry Pi 5 who wish to operate power-hungry peripherals such as hard drives and SSDs.
The power supply delivers up to 5 A at 5 V and supports USB PD (Power Delivery), enabling communication with Raspberry Pi 5 to select the most appropriate power profile. This allows Raspberry Pi 5 to automatically increase the current limit of the USB ports from the default 600 mA to 1.6 A, in order to supply additional power to devices connected to the four USB Type A ports.
A wide range of built-in power profiles also makes the Raspberry Pi 45W USB-C Power Supply an excellent choice for powering third-party devices compatible with USB Power Delivery, such as smartphones, tablets, and laptops.
