Product description
Display cable (adapter cable) for use with MIPI DSI displays and Raspberry Pi 5.
The Raspberry Pi 5 has two MIPI connectors with four lines.
The MIPI connectors can each support either a camera (CSI) or a display (DSI). The MIPI connectors use a 22
-pin, "mini" FPC connector with 0.5mm pitch. Therefore, an adapter cable is required to connect a standard 15-pin, 1mm pitch FPC connector.
For Raspberry 5 there are two different adapter cables:
MIPI 22-pin to FPC-15 pin for camera (CSI)
MIPI 22-pin to FPC-15 pin intended for screen/display (DSI).
Current cameras and displays for use with Raspberry Pi standard FPC 15-pin connector therefore fit all Raspberry Pi 5s predecessors. To use these on a Raspberry Pi 5, an adapter cable is required.
Note that the camera cable cannot be used with a monitor, and vice versa.
