Product description
Low noise RIAA preamplifier. Also called pickup preamplifier or phono preamplifier. Used to connect turntables to stereo amplifiers that do not have a phono input. The RIAA amplifier amplifies the signal and corrects the sound waveform so that the end result is a straight frequency response. The output provides an input-level signal that connects to the AUX-in/CD-in/tape-in (or other available input) of the stereo amplifier. The easiest way to connect is to buy an RCA extension cable (e.g. 41023564) and cut it in half. The female RCA side is soldered to the input of the RIAA amplifier while the male RCA side is soldered to the output of the RIAA amplifier. A power supply also needs to be soldered on, e.g. a 12 VDC power adapter. Example of a suitable power supply: 41019073.
- Converts phono signal to a line level signal
- Ideal turntable preamplifier for magnetic pickups
- Low noise and high sound quality
