A surface transducer is a cone-less speaker that generates sound through the surface it is attached to and is used in sound installations to create ‘invisible’ speakers of almost any solid surface such as tables, ceilings, walls, furniture and other furnishings. The compact size of the surface transducer makes it ideal for installation where standard loudspeakers do not fit or cannot be mounted e.g. vandal proof or in applications where a tactile feedback is desired.
