Vulcanizing tape that self-fuses (vulcanizes) into a homogeneous mass in a few hours. The tape has a protective film that easily releases when stretched. A reliable tape used to create waterproof insulated joints for cables and connectors. Often used outdoors to create waterproof connections for antenna connectors. Also acts as corrosion protection on pipes. Can also be used to protect electrical components from moisture. Made of PIB (polyisobutylene). Initiates self-vulcanization by stretching the tape and wrapping it around itself. Protect the vulcanized surface with a plastic tape or electrical tape to reduce the risk of abrasion and drying UV light. Dielectric strength: 35kv/mm. Temperature range: -40°C to 90°C.
